This restored, working windmill is in a pasture just off a county road in Bryans Mill, a rural community in Northeast Texas. I had permission to photograph the windmill from the owner, but it was very dark, so I was setting up my tripod and camera with the help of a flashlight.
Well, seeing someone in a pasture with a flashlight at night is apparently an alarm for helpful neighbors to stop and offer assistance. A kind man drove his truck into the pasture and asked if I needed help. He thought there must be a broken water pipe or something seriously wrong if I was out there late at night!
No emergency here. It's just me -- the crazy lady with a camera -- bumbling around in the dark. Thank you, God, that I live in Northeast Texas.
