View of San Francisco

This is a view from San Bruno Mountain.  You see downtown San Francisco in the distance on the left and the Bay on the right.  It was very hazy, windy, and cold!

The pier at Caddo
The pier at Caddo

Caddo Lake is known for its bayous where the Cypress trees grow in the shallows and they are always covered with Spanish moss.

Dogwood
Dogwood

Dogwoods bloom in March where I live.  They are a beautiful and graceful welcome to spring.

Golden Gate Bridge
Golden Gate Bridge

The bridge is beautiful at dusk.

We were taking the ferry across the San Francisco Bay to Sausalito,  when this sailboat just came by in front of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Paddles and Cushions
Paddles and Cushions

The preferred method of travel on the Bayou is a flat-bottom boat.  Of course, this requires seat cushions and paddles for your bottom comfort and arm workout.

Daingerfield State Park
Daingerfield State Park

The state park has beautiful color around the lake.  Take the lake trail to walk all the way around the lake.

The power lines and light fixtures have probably been attached to the Cypress trees by the pier for over 50 years.  The fluorescent  bulb - not so long.

Heaven's Windmill
Heaven's Windmill

This restored, working windmill is on a friend's farm in Cass County, Texas.  My flashlight was the only light around until a neighbor drove by and stopped to help.  He thought if someone was out in a field at night with a flashlight, there must be something broken and he wanted to help.
